Latest battle update from northeast Hama: map

The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) resumed their offensive in the northeastern countryside of the Hama Governorate, Tuesday, targeting a small group of hilltops located just south of Musharifah.

Led by the Qalamoun Shield forces of the 3rd Division, the Syrian Arab Army scored a new advance on Tuesday, capturing the small hilltop of Tal SyriaTel from the jihadist rebels of Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham and Jaysh Al-Izza.

With Tal SyriaTel under their control, the Syrian Arab Army is making another push to capture the town of Musharifah, which sits just south of Abu Dali.

Abu Dali is a jihadist stronghold that also has an important crossroad that is located inside the town; it is currently the primary objective for the Syrian Arab Army.
