Law-Enforcement Member Martyred, Several Injured in Two Ambushes by Armed Terrorist Groups in Idleb and Homs

A law-enforcement member was martyred and another was injured in an ambush set by an armed terrorist group targeting a service vehicle at the entrance of town of Khan Shekhon in Idleb governorate.

A source at Idleb Police Command told SANA’s correspondent that the terrorist group lay in wait for a vehicle transporting food which was returning from the nearby village of al-Hbeit, opening fire on the personnel and burning the car.

SANA’s correspondent said that the armed terrorist groups pursued one of injured men into a nearby house and shot him, retreating while opening fire randomly, injuring two civilians: Linda Abu Ammash and Ziyad Ta’aan.

In Homs, SANA’s correspondent quoted a source at the Homs Police Command as saying that five law-enforcement personnel were wounded in an ambush set by an armed terrorist group on Saturday at about noon near the village of al-Daba’a in al-Qasir area.

The source said that the gunmen opened fire on law-enforcement personnel, causing medium injuries, and that the wounded are receiving treatment.
