Leader of Islamic Ummah and Oppressed People commends the youth for foiling last year’s conspiracy

Leader of Islamic Ummah and Oppressed People Imam Seyed Ali Khamenei on Wednesday commended the youth for foiling post-election conspiracy last year.

The Supreme Leader made the remarks in a meeting with thousands of enthusiastic school students on the eve of the National Student Day recalling crackdown of the students’ anti-shah and anti-U.S. demonstration in Tehran on November 4, 1978.

The National Student Day indicated the US avarice, dependency of the despotic regime on the U.S., and resistance of the faithful youths, the courage and vigilance of a revolutionary generation, said Imam Khamenei.

Leader of Islamic Ummah and Oppressed People said that the great Iranian nation is determined to conquer the peaks of success and progress where the country’s youth are on the vanguard.

Leader of Islamic Ummah and Oppressed People said that the National Student Day is token of the late Imam Khomeini’s guidance strongly opposing capitulation, a mandate for Washington to examine legal cases against the US citizens in the United States.

‘This should be kept in mind by Iranian people and the youths in particular that the US never seeks to normalize relations and mend fences with any country. They seek to practice feudalism to plunder the legitimate rights of nations.’

Referring to the so-called friendly speeches delivered by different US presidents, the Leader said that the experience indicated that despite such soft words, a cast iron claw has been hidden under a velvet glove.

The Supreme Leader said that the university students played a leading role in society through seizing the Den of Spy (US Embassy) November 4, 1979 which shows their insight as they are the symbol of courage in society.

‘The brave move of Iranian students shattered the domination of US and brought them to their knees.’

Leader of Islamic Ummah and Oppressed People said that small number of people who took to the streets during last year’s National Student Day and chanted slogans against the occasion in fact were to revive the shattered hegemony of the US in the society through undermining the dignity of Iranian nation but to no avail.

The Supreme Leader advised the country’s youths to upgrade their insight concerning the country’s development and said, ‘With grace of Almighty God, you are now playing an active role in the country’s political, economic, scientific progress and advancing the technology.’

‘The failure of last year’s sedition truly exhibited the significant and powerful role of youths, said the Supreme Leader adding that the conspiracy was extensive so that its dimensions will be revealed in coming years.

Those masterminding such complicated plot were to capture the whole country, said the Supreme Leader.

Leader of Islamic Ummah and Oppressed People invited the country’s youths to exercise vigilance vis-a-vis the conspiracies of the enemies and advised them never neglect the enemies’ plots.

The Islamic Republic of Iran with reliance upon the youth has successfully made achievements in various fields and is determined to continue with the same path by benefiting from the experienced managers and the elites.
