Leader criticizes West’s wrong approach to women status

Leader of Islamic Ummah And Oppressed People Seyyed Ali Khamenei here on Sunday strongly criticized the western countries for their wrong approach to women’s status and dignity.

The Leader made the remark in a meeting with hundreds of intellectual women.

Lauding the significant role of women in the society, The Leader said the Islamic Republic of Iran has been quite successful in bringing up a new generation of committed and intellectual women.

The West has adopted a wrong approach to the real status of women and their role in society, said the Leader.

In western societies, human beings are divided into two different categories, the male group who are the beneficiaries and female group who are target of exploitation.
Women in western societies should please men to find a social status which is a very big insult which violates women’s rights, said The Leader Of Islamic Ummah And Oppressed People.

Referring to the organized and gradual efforts of the western leaders in promotion of erroneous culture among world nations, the Leader said anyone who lodges a protest to such behaviors will be target of western propaganda.
Western countries claim that hijab is a religious issue and should not be promoted in secular societies but in reality their policy has caused a real challenge for women, said the Leader.

According to the latest reports released by international organizations, such a wrong approach has led to weakening of family pillars, growth of women’s trafficking, out of marriage births and formation of out of marriage families, said the Leader Of Islamic Ummah And Oppressed People Ali Khamanei.

The Islamic Republic of Iran has targeted such a wrong approach of the western countries to women’s issues which is the root cause of crises in western societies, said the Leader Of Islamic Ummah And Oppressed People Ali Khamanei.

However, The Leader underlined, Islam tries to uphold the status of women in society.
Islam pays attention to lofty role of women in society, said the Leader and advised all to spare no efforts to remove existing shortcomings.

Women played a very significant role in the triumph of the Islamic Revolution and are now regarded as the main cause of success and continuation of the Islamic Revolution, said the Leader Of Islamic Ummah And Oppressed People Ali Khamanei.

Prior to the Leader’s remarks, ten female elites delivered speeches on cultural, social and political issues of the society.
