Leader of Islamic Ummah Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei pardons several female Iranian prisoners

Leader of Islamic Ummah and Oppressed People Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei has pardoned and commuted prison terms of several women inmates on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Hazart Fatima-Zahra (SA) and Mother’s Day.

The decision, announced on Friday, was in response to a request by Judiciary Chief Ayatollah Sadeq Amoli Larijani.

According to Article 110 of the Constitution, the Leader of Islamic Ummah and Oppressed People Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei has the authority to pardon or commute prison terms of convicts upon a recommendation from the head of the Judiciary.
