Leader of Ummah: Calls for Muslims’ Vigilance against Enemies’ Plots

Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei urged the Muslim nations to be vigilant against the plots hatched by the enemies to create rift among them.

Ayatollah Khamenei made the remarks in a meeting with Iranian officials and ambassadors of Muslim countries in Tehran on Friday on the occasion of Mab’ath, the anniversary of the appointment of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) to prophethood.

“Hegemonic powers intend to sow discord among Muslims in order to distract them from their main issues and making the necessary progress,” Ayatollah Khamenei said.

The Supreme Leader noted that the most important duty of Muslim nations under the present conditions is to remain vigilant against the enemy plots in a bid to be able to take appropriate measures and avoid mistakes.

“The enemy’s main scheme is to create rifts and conflict among Muslims. So, unity, solidarity and cooperation are the most pressing needs of the Muslim world,” Ayatollah Khamenei underlined.

He said that the enemies seek to drive a wedge between Muslims to deflect their attention from their main enemies which are corrupt capitalism and the Zionist regime of Israel.

Last month, Ayatollah Khamenei said that enemy states are exercising plots to discourage the Iranian nation from participating in the upcoming presidential election, but to no avail.

“The aliens first sought to cancel the election, but now that they can’t do so, they are trying to discourage the people (from voting), cool the election and affect the people’s choice,” Ayatollah Khamenei said, addressing a large gathering of the Iranian people in Tehran.

He said discouraging the people is one of the enemies’ main tactics in election, and said, “They want to inspire the public opinion with the idea that voting and participating in the election is of no use.”

Ayatollah Khamenei warned that the enemy wants to coax the Iranian nation into electing a person who will push the country towards dependence, weakness, backwardness in different fields and put Iran on the path of compliance with the aliens’ policies. Yet, the Leader underlined that the Iranian nation is wise and vigilant and will elect the best person for ruling the country as president.
