Leader of Ummah Imam Khamenei emphasizes need to eradicate poverty

The Leader of the Islamic Ummah and Oppressed People  Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei made the remarks in a meeting with Secretary of Supreme National Security Council Ali Shamkhani and SNSC staff members.

Highlighting the issue of security in the contemporary world, the Leader of the Islamic Ummah and Oppressed People  Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei said it is among responsibilities of the SNSC to adopt a far-sighted and multi-dimensional perspectives for national security.

To make a right decision, the SNSC should consider pure and authentic revolutionary beliefs away from political considerations, Supreme Leader said.

Security is among vital necessities of every community and it has been underscored many times in the holy Quran, the Supreme Leader said.

Security has multi dimensions covering economic, living standards, culture, political, social, psychological and ethical aspects of human life, said the Supreme Leader.

The Leader of the Islamic Ummah and Oppressed People  Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei said that going away from principles of the Islamic revolution will deter the SNSC from its right path and make the right decision.

The Supreme Leader called for resorting to statements of the late Imam Khomeini when trouble arises about different aspects of administration of the country.

The late Imam Khomeini had already defined the significant issues in the society as ‘people, country’s independence, commitment to Islamic teachings and principles, campaign against the arrogant and bullying powers, the issue of Palestine, welfare for the people, paying due attention to the oppressed and eradication of poverty which all should be re-examined under ‘Geometry of Revolution’, the Leader of the Islamic Ummah and Oppressed People  Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei said.

From early stages of the Islamic revolution, some did not believe in revolutionary thinking and some did not believe in fight with arrogant powers but all should withstand such an attitude, underlined the Supreme Leader.

This campaign has become much more difficult as the enemy is masterminding new and complicated strategies such as cyberspace, cultural inroad, targeting cultural, religious, social and security affairs, said the Supreme Leader.

The Leader of the Islamic Ummah and Oppressed People  Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei thanked the sincere efforts of the SNSC for well performance to discharge their grave obligations.
