Leader of Ummah Imam Khamenei: Iranian scholars, scientists, flag-bearer of modern civilization

The Supreme Leader made the remarks in a meeting with hundreds of talented university students.

The talented youth should be regarded as significant blessing given by Almighty God.
With reliance on such invaluable asset, the Islamic Republic of Iran will become a developed, powerful and noble country bearing the flag of modern Islamic civilization, the Supreme Leader said.

The Leader of the Islamic Ummah and Oppressed People Imam Seyyed Ali Khamenei advised the respective officials to spare no efforts to identify the talents and bring up such talented youth.

Regretfully, during Qajar and Pahlavi dynasty, they did not believe in talents of the Iranian youth and held the belief that Iranians cannot do great job. Such an idea was humiliating for Iranians, the Supreme Leader said.

Under such circumstances, the Islamic Revolution created a very significant development and in fact the Islamic revolution brought confidence and self-esteem and stood up against dependence on others, the Supreme Leader said.

The Leader of the Islamic Ummah and Oppressed People Imam Seyyed Ali Khamenei said that the current trend of globalization must not be allowed the independence Iran achieved after the Islamic Revolution.

‘The invitations made by the Americans and Europeans to Iran to join the waves of globalization are good indications that they seek to regenerate culture of dependence.’

Iranian refusal to accept their invitations does not mean that ‘we are opposed to establishing cultural relations with foreign countries but we must make resistance to imposition of their culture over our economy, politics and security,’ Leader of the Islamic Ummah and Oppressed People Imam Seyyed Ali Khamenei said.

The elite are the engine of progress and officials should take care of the elite seriously, the Supreme Leader said.

The Islamic Republic of Iran should become a developed, powerful and country to have a say in all new affairs and it will be achieved by paying due attention to the country’s talented people, the Supreme Leader said.

The current election campaign in the US and the issues raised i debates of the two candidates explicitly indicate lack of spirituality and faith among the country’s authorities, Leader of the Islamic Ummah and Oppressed People Imam Seyyed Ali Khamenei said.

In coming weeks, one of the two candidates whose words and deeds are clear to all will be the president of the country possessing the biggest power, assets, nuclear weapons and biggest media, the Supreme Leader said.

Our revolutionary youth will spare no effort to bring significant progress to the country, the Supreme Leader said.

According to the information released by global database, Iran’s scientific development registered 13 folds in average in the world and this pace should not be decreased under no circumstances as we face challenges with numerous scientific backwardness, Leader of the Islamic Ummah and Oppressed People Imam Seyyed Ali Khamenei said.

The Supreme Leader said that the US officials do not want to give up hostility toward Iran and one of the US officials said by the time Iran supports the Palestinian resistance movement, it will not be clear whether the economic sanctions to be lifted and this is the reality that for several times I have told the officials, the Supreme Leader said.

‘In private and public meeting with officials, I repeated it for several times that if they withdraw from their stand on nuclear issue, they will raise the issue of missile, and if again to withdraw your stand their will raise the issue of human rights and if you accept their criterion, they will attempt to eliminate the religious identity of the Iranian governing system,’ the Supreme Leader said.

‘What we proclaim about progress of the country and the human resources development are not preaching. They are reality and the western governments have admitted them,’ the Leader of the Islamic Ummah and Oppressed People Imam Seyyed Ali Khamenei said.
