Lebanese Army Arrests Terrorist in Akkar, Takes Strict Measures in Arsal

The Lebanese army on Saturday in Mshatta Hassan in Akkar arrested Youssef Mahmud Al Khodour for an attempt of smuggling weapons and ammunition to a terrorist organization across the northern border in 2014.

Stringent army security has been signaled inside and around Arsal, NNA reported.

Mountain dirt roads leading into and out of Arsal have been hermetically sealed to Syrian refugees by the military who allowed through only Lebanese farmers and stone quarrying workers.

Stringent army security adopted in the wake of yesterday’s bomb attack against the military, coupled with surprise raiding of suspected hideouts in Hermel locality of Marjaheen where about ten tons of Cannabis and a number of vehicles have been seized and burnt by the military.
