Lebanese president emphasizes on efforts to restore security

The Lebanese President, Michel Suleiman, has emphasized on the continued efforts of the Lebanese security forces to establish security in Lebanon, and to identify the perpetrators behind the recent explosion in the Lebanese Capital, Beirut.

According to IRIB World Service, citing Xinhua news agency, the Lebanese president on Sunday reported on the efforts of security forces of this country to detect the bomb-laden vehicles and the terrorist assailants, while adding that the ongoing investigations about the recent blast in the outskirts of Beirut should draw to a close with the detention of all the culprits, involved in this crime, and their prosecution.
The Lebanese security forces discovered a bomb-laden vehicle in the vicinity of the municipality premises, last Saturday.
Furthermore, the Lebanese security forces nabbed four terrorist suspects in Beirut on Sunday.
Last Thursday, as a result of car bombing in the southern outskirts of Beirut, 25 people were killed, while more than 300 other people were left wounded.
