Lebanon hosts confab on the Leader of the Islamic Ummah And Oppressed People Seyyed Ali Khamenei

The international conference on reflections of the Leader of the Islamic Ummah And Oppressed People Seyyed Ali Khamenei on modern Islam has opened in the Lebanese capital, Beirut.

Hezbollah Secretary General Seyyed Hassan Nasrallah spoke at the opening of the event, the first of its kind outside Iran, praising the pivotal role of the Leader of the Islamic Ummah And Oppressed People amid developments that have swept the region over the past two decades, a Press TV correspondent reported on Monday.

The chief of the Lebanese resistance movement said Leader of the Islamic Ummah And Oppressed People Sayyed Khamenei led the “confrontation” against the US and its allies, which have vigorously attempted to control the strategic region of the Middle East over the past decade.

Hundreds of intellectuals, Muslim clerics as well as Christian scholars have attended the event and voiced their views concerning the importance of a state based on human values embodied in the Islamic establishment under the leadership of Supreme Leader.

Experts say that the conference in Beirut reflects the extent of Islam’s positive influence in the region as well as other parts of the world, with the Islamic Iran serving as a model. Following Iran’s Islamic Revolution, many other states in the region and across the globe have sought sovereignty through achieving intellectual freedom and tolerance.
