Lebanon Seizes Car Bomb Containing 250 Kg of TNT, Detonators

A car bomb parked on Naameh highway near the municipality building was seized Saturday afternoon, according to the National News Agency (NNA).

NNA added that after inspecting the vehicle, the military expert at the Interior Security Forces detected detonators and five boxes each carrying 50 kilograms of TNT as well a device to remotely detonate the ordinance.

“The Audi vehicle carried a fake license plate and was situated near a residential area,” security sources said.

“Lebanese army and security forces immediately cordoned off the area and transported the seized items to military barracks.”
