Localizing Iranian surface-to-surface missile

924274_origThe Commander of Islamic Republic of Iran Army Ground Forces says that in case the enemy scrambles the air with 100 per cent noise, our experts are able to reestablish the commanding and missile system communication in an electronic disorder, so that the military equipments may operate, stating that “the location of support weapons and surface-to-surface has been determined.”
Speaking to reporters in the sidelines of the memorial of telecommunication and electronic warfare martyrs of the Army, Brigadier General Ahmadreza Pourdastan, Commander of Islamic Republic of Iran Army Ground Forces, provided comments on the unveiling of the optimized Zolfaghar battle tank on the occasion of the Fajr Ceremonines and said “with the approval of the General Staff of the Armed Forces, the tank will be mass-produced.”

“Telecommunication is highly important in present and future wars. Our armed forces have fully recognized the point and has made ready according to present needs and electronic warfare,” he added.

Pourdastan also said that frequency-hopping two-way radios were among the important achievements of the Armed Forces. “We are equipped with electronic warfare two-way radios, not only to defend, but also to jam the enemy’s telecommunication systems,” he explained.

Commander of Islamic Republic of Iran Army Ground Forces also asserted that the Army had analyzed the Persian Gulf, Afghanistan, and other wars for thousands of hours of men and had been aware of the ultra-regional enemy’s power, so that accordingly, “we have developed weapons for surface and low-altitude defense to be able to powerfully respond to the enemy.”

Providing comments on the Zolfaghar tank, he said that “the fire control and stabilizer systems of the tank are optimized and we will have it unveiled in 2 weeks. Compared to one of the most modern eastern versions, the tank enjoys much higher capabilities and it will be mass-produced with the approval of the General Staff of the Armed Forces,” said he.

Pourdastan also asserted that the Army has worked out defensive plans to defend the borders, operating when necessary, and even their location has been determined on the ground.

Pourdastan added that “as recent wars are asymmetrical, we have modified our tactics accordingly.”
