Majlis speaker urges action on Gaza

Iran’s Majlis (parliament) speaker has called for immediate international and regional action to support the people of Gaza and condemn the recent murderous acts of the Israeli regime.

According to IRIB, Ali Larijani said in a telephone conversation with the President of Jordan’s National Assembly Taher al-Masri on Saturday “The savage acts of the Zionist regime in its all-out sea, ground and air assault against the defenseless people of Gaza reveal the utmost political isolation of this vicious regime.”

Larijani added today the people of Palestine and Gaza need the help and support of the Islamic countries more than any other time.

Masri, for his part, expressed sorrow over the new wave of the Zionist regime’s attacks on the people of Palestine in the Gaza Strip, saying, the situation is now more dangerous for the Palestinians than it was before.
He added that high-ranking officials of Jordan along with other Muslim countries have made enormous efforts to prevent the Judaization of the al-Quds by the Zionist regime.
The Iranian Majlis speaker has also talked to parliament speakers of other Islamic countries, including Iraq, Algeria, Tunisia, Turkey, Pakistan, Lebanon and Syria, as well as the Secretary-General of the Inter-Parliamentary Union Anders Johnsson about Israel’s ongoing war on Gaza.
