Major powers must interact with Iran

A senior Iranian commander says major powers must stop their confrontational policies on Iran and pursue interaction with the Islamic Republic.

According to IRIB, Deputy Commander of Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) Brigadier General Hossein Salami said on Monday “Major powers must maintain interactive relations with the Islamic Republic of Iran because our country is a prominent international power today.”
He added “The Americans have always known that the Islamic Republic of Iran does not seek nuclear bombs and will never do so in future.”
Addressing the 68th annual session of the UN General Assembly in New York on September 24, US President Barack Obama said Washington prefers a diplomatic solution to its disputes with Iran.
He noted that resolution of the Iranian nuclear issue can bring about a possible thaw in frosty relations between the two countries.
