n00201415-b

A senior Hezbollah official protested the provocations against the Islamic Resistance group by the supporters of the anti-Syrian March 14 Alliance, saying such actions are “shameful”.

Shaykh Nabil Qawouq, the deputy chairman of the executive board of the Lebanese Shi’ite resistance group, Hezbollah, has criticized the creation of dissention and political tensions actions by some political parties.

He said that the March 14 Alliance is responsible for inciting people against the Islamic Resistance [Hezbollah] in Lebanon.

The Lebanese Shi’a scholar said that this anti-Syrian coalition of political groups wants the Lebanese people to remain unaware and uninformed of the grave dangers posed by ISIL and other Takfiri terrorist groups toward the security of their country as well as other countries.

He added that this issue is due to their lack of correct understanding over the importance of supporting the Lebanese people against the dangers posed by the Takfiri phenomenon.

Shaykh Qawouq explained that the Islamic Resistance’s strategy against extremist groups and the Takfiri threat is based on public interests and stressed that no permission will be given to any Takfiri group to operate in Lebanon.

The senior Hezbollah official said that ISIL aims to conquer Lebanon and make it part of their emirate, but stressed that the Islamic Resistance will defeat their campaign and will achieve a complete victory over the Takfiri group.

His Eminence stressed Hezbollah’s strength, saying that presently the resistance fighters are dutifully protecting Lebanon’s territorial integrity and thwarting the efforts of the Zionists to spread their influence in Lebanon through the activities of ISIL.

At the end of his speech, Shaykh Qawouq said that “it is shameful that some Lebanese are working for this nation’s enemies in Syria” and added that “it is also shameful for those regional countries who claim to have friendly relations with Lebanon but yet support Takfiri militants in the country.

He also added that personal interests were involved in the case of the kidnapping of army troops along the Lebanon-Syria border.
