Martyr Fuqaha assassins to be executed today

Assistant Military Attorney General in Gaza, Fadl al-Jadili, announced that the three assassins who were convicted of murdering the al-Qassam Brigades commander Mazen Fuqaha will be executed on Thursday, May 25.

Jadili told al-Rai news agency that implementing the death penalties will be carried out at 5 p.m. at a closed hall with the presence of official and human rights authorities as well as key national figures.

Al-Maydan military court in Gaza on Sunday morning passed the capital punishment against the three men, who were accused with working for Israel and murdering Martyr Fuqaha last March. It ruled that two will be hanged while the third will be executed by a firing squad.
