Mashaal Hails Iran’s Support for Palestinian Peoples’ Resistance

Head of the Political Bureau of the Palestinian Hamas movement Khalid Mashaal praised Iran for its unlimited supports for the resistance of the Palestinian people against the Zionist regime.
Mashaal made the remarks in a meeting with visiting Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Reza Bahonar and his accompanying parliamentary delegation at Iran’s Embassy in Damascus on Friday

In the meeting at the presence of Iranian Ambassador Hojjatoleslam Seyed Ahmad Mousavi, Mashaal appreciated the stands adopted by the Islamic Republic of Iran in defense of the Palestinian resistance, expressing hope that the Palestinian people’s efforts would bear fruit with their eventual victory.

Bahonar, for his part, elaborated on the Islamic Republic of Iran’s stands in support of the Palestinian people’s rights as the main victims of occupation, and those who have been continually subjected to serious violations of their most basic human rights.

He announced that the International Conference in Support of the Palestinian Intifada would be held in Tehran in the presence of numerous personalities from around the globe.

The conference is scheduled to be held on the anniversary of the 2nd Palestinian Intifada, marked by the martyrdom of Palestinian child while he was embraced by his helpless father as the symbol of the oppression of the Palestinian nation.
Bahonar and his accompanying delegation arrived in Syria from Lebanon on Thursday and departed Damascus for Tehran late Friday night.
