Mashhad to host 1st Int’l Congress on Infants Nutrition and Growth

First Int’l Congress on Infants Nutrition and Growth will be held in Mashhad, Khorassan Razavi province, from October 7-9.

Secretary of the event, Reza Saeedi, said over 250 articles by Iranian and foreign specialists will be presented during the congress.

Some 800 Iranian and foreign experts from Belgium, Switzerland, the US and Iraq will participate in the congress.

Paying further attention to growth of children and infants, promoting their health and presenting the latest findings in the field are among the objectives of the event, Saeedi said.

Role of nutrition in children’s growth, advantages or disadvantages of food supplements, nutrition of pregnant and breast-feeding women, vaccination and medical care of children are among the topics to be discussed during the congress, he said.

The congress will be sponsored by Mashhad Medical Sciences University and Mashhad Doctor Sheikh Hospital in cooperation with the Turkish Neonatal Society.
