More than 80,000 killed in Pakistan due to US war

Security situation in Pakistan has remained volatile due to the US-led so-called war on terror.A latest study by the Nobel Prize winning International Physicians reveals that more that 80,000 people have lost their lives in Pakistan over the past one decade.

It also said that around 1.3 million people were directly and indirectly killed in Iraq, Afghanistan and Pakistan as a result of US-led wars in the regions during this period.

The report dealing with conflicts from 2004 to 2013 shows the figure is much higher than official claims. According to authors of the report, this is only a conservative estimate. The total number of deaths in the three countries could be in excess of 2 million.Pakistan has officially maintained that around 50,000 civilians and security personnel have been killed due to the so-called war on terror.

Anti-American sentiments are high in Pakistan due to the US imposed war on terror and the latest figures have further angered people here in the country.Many people here believe that Pakistan will continue to pay the heavy price unless it pulls out of the US-led war on terror.
