Mossad’s killer of Iran N-scientist tried

The key player in the assassination of top Iranian nuclear physicist Dr. Massoud Ali-Mohammadi in 2010 has stood trial at a revolutionary court in the Iranian capital city of Tehran.

Ali Jamali Fashi, the defendant, was charged on Tuesday with “Moharebeh (enmity with God) and spreading corruption on earth,” receiving USD 120,000 of illegal cash, destroying private properties and possessing illicit drugs, a Press TV correspondent reported.

Fashi’s indictment also says that Ali-Mohammadi was assassinated by a bomb planted on a motorcycle near his residence.

It added that the defendant had cooperated with the occupying regime of Israel and gathered information for Israeli intelligence service, Mossad, against the Islamic Republic of Iran.

The indictment said that Fashi had received the money from Mossad for cooperating with Israel, spying against Iran and carrying out the assassination of Ali-Mohammadi.

Fashi confessed to the court that he had numerous visits to Turkey, where he met with Mossad agents prior to the assassination attempt.

“I travelled to Turkey four times and every time I held meetings in the Israeli consulate. The name of the agent who I met was ‘DAM’,” he further explained.

Fashi also noted that he held most of his meetings in parks in Tehran and “received between USD 5,000 to 10,000 for each meeting.”

The defendant admitted that the Israeli agents paid him a total of USD 120,000 for his anti-Iran efforts.

“I met one of the Israeli intelligence agents for the first time in the Turkish city of Antalya. A high-ranking Mossad official had also met with me two times in Azerbaijan and briefed me on the stages of my trip to Israel,” Fashi went on to say.

The court session was held in the presence of international journalists and the victim’s family.

After Fashi’s statements, Ali-Mohammadi’s widow appeared before the judge and demanded the execution of the assassin.

Professor Ali-Mohammadi, a lecturer at Tehran University, was killed by an explosive-laden motorbike in the Iranian capital on January 12, 2010. The bombing took place near the professor’s home in the Qeytariyeh neighborhood of northern Tehran.

Ali-Mohammadi lost his life when the motorbike was blown up with a remote-controlled device.

Also on November 29, 2010, unidentified terrorists detonated bombs attached to the vehicles of university professors Majid Shahriari and Fereydoun Abbasi. Professor Shahriari was killed immediately, but Dr. Abbasi and his wife survived the attack with minor injuries.

Upon comprehensive investigations, Iran’s Intelligence Ministry said it had dismantled an Israeli network comprising of Israeli-trained spies and terrorists, and arrested the main perpetrators in connection with the assassination of Ali-Mohammadi.

The Iranian Intelligence Ministry revealed that the Israeli intelligence service, Mossad, had used bases in certain European and non-European countries as well as Iran’s neighboring states in an attempt to achieve its inhuman and non-Islamic goals.
