Muezzin of Abu Ayyub al-Ansari Mosque Narrates Details of Exploiting Death of a Citizen Died in Traffic Accident

Muezzin and Supervisor of Abu Ayyub al-Ansari Mosque, Mohammad Hussam Eddin Akil, and a number of the citizens at Bab Mosalla area in Damascus narrated the circumstances of escorting citizen, Mohammad Khair al-Elabi, who was died in a traffic accident and how al-Arabiya satellite channel-which is completely financed by US and Zionist Powers- exploited his death to say that he was shot by the security forces.

On Tuesday at 11:00 pm, al-Arabiya broadcasted the news of al-Elabi’s death, saying that he will be escorted from Abu Ayyub al-Ansari Mosque, and his relatives were surprised when they found that some strangers were at the mosque and they were behaving in unacceptable way as they stole the body and they headed for Bab Mosalla Square and they started to film videos to give them to al-Arabiya which reproduced them to provoke the security members.

When the security forces came to see what was happening, the strangers threw the body of al-Elabi and they security members gave the body to al-Elabi relatives.

In a interview with the Syrian TV, Akil said “the relatives of al-Elabi came to the mosque, and I was outside my home and not in the mosque, and when I arrived at the mosque, I found a number of the young men near it before al-Asr Prayer and they told me that there is a funeral, so I opened the door for them.”

Akil added “after al-Asr Azan ‘call for prayer’, one of al-Elabi’s brothers came to me and told me to use the microphone to say that there are strangers at the mosque and they are not relatives of al-Elabi and to tell them to keep silent, and suddenly one of the strangers came near the coffin and he said that al-Elabi is a martyr and I told him not to sow sedition at the mosque.”

After the end of the prayer, the strangers snatched the coffin and they headed to Bab Mosalla Square, and when they the security members came to the place, the strangers fled and they leaved the coffin on the ground.
