Syrian Army presses forward in East Ghouta, new advance made

The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) resumed their field operations in the western part of the East Ghouta, today, targeting the militant-held areas in the ‘Ayn Tarma Valley.

Led by the 4th Mechanized Division, the Syrian Army stormed the militant positions in ‘Ayn Tarma Valley, where they managed to capture several points after a short battle.

According to the Syrian military, the 4th Division is on the brink of entering the eastern part of the ‘Ayn Tarma Valley, marking the first time in years that they have reached this area.

This latest attack by the Syrian Army comes as they begin to build-up their forces around the strategic suburb of ‘Ayn Tarma.
