Myanmar Islamic scholars appreciate Leader of Ummah Imam Seyed Ali Khamenei

ayatollah_ali_khameneiMember of Majlis Foreign Policy Commission says that Myanmar Islamic scholars have expressed their gratitude for The Leader of Islamic Ummah and Oppressed People Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei for supportive position on Myanmar Muslims and dispatching of public donations to the country.
Ahmad Bakhshayesh Ardestani said “The Iranian delegation consisted of representatives from the Majlis, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Red Crescent Society, and Imam Khomeini Relief Foundation who visited the city of Sittwe, Rakhine and delivered the first load of Islamic Republic of Iran’s humanitarian aid to the refugees in Rakhine province in Sittwe camps.”

“Our humanitarian aids, including tents, blankets, and food, were sent to Myanmar last week on a special flight as help to the country’s Muslims,” he added. “The situations of Rakhine Muslims were deplorable since they lived in such bad situations and all sorts of diseases prevail,” he said.

The Muslims resist Buddhist raid

He also pointed to the racial clashes between Buddhist and Muslim tribes and said “one of the critical problems of the Muslims in this area was ethnic clashes between the Muslim and Buddhist. In meetings with Muslim and Buddhist representatives, the majority of problems were said to be racial and not ethnic. Rakhine authorities also believed that the Muslims must live in the city until security is fully restored in their homeland.”

Member of the Parliamentary delegation to Myanmar asserted that “in a meeting with Chief Minister of Rakhine, we expressed our readiness to handle the situations of the Muslims provided that their return to their homes is guaranteed.” He added. “Muslims in this region demand the reconstruction of buildings in their residence, such as houses, mosques and schools, since the invaders have burned the city’s major buildings.”

Member of Majlis National Security Commission asserted “during this 3-day visit, meetings were held with scholars of the Shiite Traditional Islamic School (Hawza) of Yangon. where they appreciatedThe Leader of Islamic Ummah and Oppressed People Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei and Iranian authorities’ concern for the state of Myanmar Muslims and Shiites.”

Bakhshayesh Ardestani added that the country had a population of 55 million and in addition to the Islamic Republic of Iran; donations were being sent from other countries such as Kuwait and Turkey. He further explained that the volume of donations from Iran is much more considerable than other countries’, which had satisfied Myanmar authorities. “In this visit it was agreed that Iran cooperate for the construction of power plant and electricity export to the region,” he added.
