Navy Commander: New warships to be added to the navy

 

Commander said on Saturday that a rocket launcher, a submarine, and a destroyer will join the navy in the southern waters, the Persian Gulf and Oman Sea, and a destroyer will join the navy in the northern water, the Caspian Sea during the current year.

Talking to the press in Anzali, Gilan Province, Commander of Iran’s Navy Rear Admiral Habibollah Sayyari said, “Defending sea borders, safeguarding Islamic Republic’s resources and interests in the northern, southern, and international waters is the navy’s priority.”

Inaugurating a vehicle simulation center in a training center in Anzali, he added, “Iran’s navy would always be present in the international waters according to the international rules and regulations.”

Sayyari said, “Authoritative presence in the international waters, training able and capable staff, and developing necessary equipment and repairing and maintaining it is in our job description.”

He also reminded that three flotillas accomplished their missions in Oman, India, and Kazakhstan to establish security, develop interactions, peace and fraternity, and prevent Iranophobia last week.”

Anzali is a port city on the southern coast of the Caspian Sea.
