New missile-launcher craft handed to Iran’s naval fleet

New missile-launcher craft was delivered to the fleet of the Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) Naval Force.

In a ceremony held on Friday, the craft dubbed “Tondar” (Thunder) was delivered to Iran’s naval fleet in the presence of Iran’s officials.

An IRGC naval commander Brigadier Seifollah Bakhtiarvand said upgraded missile-launching boats, including the Tondar, Seraj (light) and Zolfaqar (having two-edged), which were handed to the naval fleet, will significantly increase the country’s defense capabilities.

He stressed Iranian defense capabilities should be improved so that the country can properly defend its gas and oil reservoirs in Persian Gulf.
