No army can stop Iran enrichment

Iran’s envoy to the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Ali Asghar Soltanieh says that even a military attack cannot stop the country from enriching uranium.

Speaking at a press conference in Moscow on Friday, Soltanieh said that Iran has made every effort to prove the peaceful nature of its nuclear activities.

“Iran made its nuclear activities transparent through different methods and the world public opinion knows that Iran’s nuclear activities are peaceful and any military attack on its nuclear sites is doomed to failure,” he added.

“Our committed experts will make new centrifuges and we will carry out enrichment again.”

Soltanieh expressed hope that other countries would come to understand the realities of Iran’s nuclear activities.

“Iran is fully competent in the nuclear enrichment process and will never suspend its cooperation with IAEA,” he added.

Soltanieh pointed out that due to the religious decrees by the late founder of the Islamic Republic Imam Khomeini and the Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei regarding prohibition of nuclear weapons, the Iranian government has always been committed to avoid the use of such weapons and other weapons of mass destruction.

“Even if we have nuclear weapons since our weapons will be less than other countries, we will be in a weaker position,” he added.

The delegates, who represent more than 120 countries, visited Arak’s heavy water reactor on Saturday and toured Iran’s Natanz enrichment facility on Sunday.
