No Iran troop deployment to Syria: Vahidi

715ea71210ac6b437cc686fb4ed4adb7_LIran’s Defense Minister Brigadier General Ahmad Vahidi rejects Western allegations that Iran has sent military forces to Syria.

Vahidi said on Saturday “The Islamic Republic of Iran has not sent and will not send military forces to Syria.”
He added “If it were not for Iran’s well-wishing measures and peace-seeking policies aimed at strengthening the peace process in the region, countries supporting terrorists… would have realized their goal to start a bloodbath in Syria.”
The Iranian official said that those countries accusing others of meddling in Syria have turned the region into a battlefield by committing “outrageous war crimes” in Iraq and Afghanistan and supporting Zionist reime’s atrocities in Palestine and Lebanon, adding that they have no objective but to fuel violence in the Middle East.
He added “The West, in particular the US, seeks to wage wars and intensify regional conflicts to boost their arms sales in order to save their crisis-hit economies.”
Vahidi noted they want to repeat the Iraq and Afghanistan scenario in Syria and to destroy the country’s economic and industrial infrastructure in a bid to make the Arab country dependent,.
He advised Western countries to stop their stubbornness, savagery and violent and terrorist acts because the patience of the people of the region has a limit.
