A senior Chechen commander of Ansar al-Sham terrorist group was killed in clashes with the government forces in Lattakia, Northern Syria, on Friday.

Muslim Shishani, a notorious commander of the foreign-backed Ansar al-Sham terrorist group, was killed in fierce clashes with the Syrian Army and the National Defense Forces (NDF).

Ansar al-Sham has a major say among the terrorist groups operating in Lattakia province.

The terrorist group also sustained heavy damage on its military hardware after the pro-government forces attacked their positions.

Another notorious Shishani who was a Chechen commander of the militant groups was killed in the war with the Syrian army earlier this year.

Ahrar al-Sham terrorist group confirmed the death of its Chechen-born senior commander, Abu Bakr al-Shishani, in Homs province in October.

Abu Bakr al-Shishani was killed in a Russian airstrike in the Central province of Homs on October 14.
