Iran to establish technology office in Tajikistan

IRI’s President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad who is visiting Tajikistan said the ties between the Islamic Republic of Iran and Tajikistan were expanding speedily.

“The Islamic Republic of Iran is ready to share its modern technologies and experiences with Tajikistan,” President Ahmadinejad added.

Noting that a main part of insecurity in the region is result of presence of foreign interference, President Ahmadinejad said,” Iran and Tajikistan with the help of regional countries are able to establish security in the region.”

“Today the arrogant powers have a colonialist approach to the Central Asian countries, so it is necessary to have a joint plan to enhance political stability in the region,” Ahmadinejad concluded.

Tajik President Emomali Rahmon for his part said the Islamic Republic of Iran is a strategic partner for Tajikistan in the region.

“Today insecurity is the main threat to the region and the two countries could provide joint cooperation and coordination to tackle insecurity,” Emomali Rahmon added.

He said Tajikistan is after a long-term plan to make use of the entire potentials of the two countries to strengthen the bilateral ties.

The Islamic Republic of Iran and Tajikistan agreed to establish a branch of the IRI presidential technology office in Dushanbe, capital of Tajikistan.
