Official: West’s Pressures on Iran to End Soon

A0880732A senior advisor to Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said the US-led westerns pressures against Iran will be halted in the near future.

President Ahmadinejad’s Advisor in Oil Affairs Esfandiar Rahim Mashayee made the remarks in a meeting with Belarusian Ambassador to Tehran Victor Rybak on Monday.

“Pressures on countries like Iran and Belarus will come to an end soon,” said Mashayee, who also presides over the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) Secretariat in Tehran now.

Mashayee said the world hegemonic powers do not want to see nations live independently, and added, “Nations have no way out but to join hands and cooperate with each other to create shared world management (system).”

President Ahmadinejad himself has repeatedly criticized the current world order, saying that all nations are discontent at with the status quo and a fundamental change is needed in the world management.

Addressing the 16th NAM summit in Tehran in August, Ahmadinejad stated that all the world nations are discontent with the current world conditions, and noted, “The historical and common causes and wishes of man, that is, removal of poverty, discrimination, threat, humiliation and war have not materialized yet.”

He lashed out at the world powers’ hegemonic policies and their efforts to prevent other nations’ progress to plunder their wealth.

He said that the present world management is against the interests of the world nations, and noted, “World management should undergo a fundamental change in the interest of nations and in line with justice.”

Supreme Leader of Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei told participants in the same NAM summit that “states should raise their relations on the basis of common interests and not threat and intimidation.”

The Leader said the world should not be ruled by a few number of “bullying powers”.
He said the “UN Security Council has a completely unfair structure, and the US and its allies have been misusing this unfair structure to materialize their interests”.

The leader said the US and its allies try to impose their own values on the world. “Their security in the US and Europe is important, while security of the rest of the world does not matter from their viewpoint.”

“They impose their own rules and bullying words on the rest of the world” through the UN, he added, and said the US-led West portrays its aspirations as to be correct and fair through a media hegemony and propaganda.

“Everyone is tired of this situation in the world,” he said.

The leader underlined that global peace and security is among the critical issues of the contemporary world. “In today world security is a common phenomenon.”
