Only resistance can liberate Palestinians: Ahmadinejad

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad says perseverance on the path of resistance is the only way to emancipate Palestinians and bring the Zionist regime down.

The destruction of the Zionist regime (Israel) is possible only through continuing on the path of resistance, Ahmadinejad said in a Sunday meeting with Secretary General of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine Ahmed Jibril.

President Ahmadinejad described Israel as the main and most dangerous enemy of the regional countries and said the “fabricated regime” symbolized the West and the US, acting as their hatchway to the Middle East.

The Iranian chief executive also called Zionist Israel the main foothold of Western countries, in particular the US, in the region, adding that the West seeks to guarantee the survival of Slaughterer Israel.

He said that Zionist Israel is already on the decline and called on all the freedom- and justice-seeking nations of the world to pool their resources to defeat Israel.

He also voiced Iran’s strong support for the Palestinians and resistance groups.

Jibril, for his part, said that the Islamic Revolution in Iran had a great influence on regional nations and the Islamic world. He also praised Iran’s progress in various areas as an achievement for all Muslim countries.
