Opposition “Saraqib Local Council” loots aid to invest it Turkey

Looting the relief aid that reaches militant-held areas in Syria has become a factor that raises the intensity of conflict between the ‘Free Army’ militia leaders and the so-called ‘Local Council’, another separate part of opposition in the city of Saraqib.

Local sources in the city of Saraqib East of Idlib confirmed special information to Breaking News Network reporter that one of the members of the Local Council in the city is “selling medical and reielf aid of food and other items provided by the supporting countries of armed militias”.

According to our information, the members of the council usually head to Turkey, specifically the town of Rihaniyya, in order to bring aid; after receiving it from the «Syrian Relief Committees in Turkey» the council’s members sell it to someTurkish trader for a large sum .

Council’s members justified their acts under the pretext of “distributing monetary aid instead of food aids”, while “Breaking News” sources confirmed the intention of the members of “launching a project in Turkey”, in agreement with one of the merchants. The tension still goes on between of leaders and members of the Local Council in Saraqib regarding such acts.
