Over 1m Iranian single mothers receive financial aid
Head of Imam Khomeini Relief Foundation has said that 1,040,000 single mothers are under Foundation’s support. He predicts the creation of 300,000 new jobs in this year’s employment scheme.
Hussein Anvaari said that single mothers must do their house jobs, beside housekeeping and child rearing.

He added that the Foundation has excluded the applicants with creating 80,000 jobs last year and 100,000 jobs this year from the support scheme, and added that “the self-reliance of the individuals is such that their income would facilitate a decent life through productive work.”

Head of the Relief Foundation believed that individuals must first be mentally rehabilitated to prepare for withdrawal after talent survey and education. “This year we have plans for the creation of 300,000 jobs for applicants, 200, 000 for villagers and citizens of towns under 20,000 populations. The funds for all these plans come from Islamic Banking Trust,” he added.
