Pakistan conference: Shia and Sunni join to defend holy shrines

Muslim clerics and religious figures attending conference on “Message of Karbala” held in the Pakistani capital of Islamabad called for an analysis into Muslim world issues and unified defense of the religious sites by Shia and Sunni Muslims, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).

Raghib Hussein Naeemi, from Jamia Naeemia Islamabad (Naeemia society of Islamabad) stressed that shia and Sunni communities should join to defend holy sites calling for a deeper analysis of the incidents in the world of Islam.

Hujjat-ul-Islam Amin Shahidi, member of Islamic Ideology Council and head of Majlis Wahdat-e-Muslimeen Pakistan (MWM) said,” He who follows the path of Imam Hussein (AS) is a follower of Islam no matter which denomination he believes in.”

He expressed regret over the warmongering policies against Yemen and said,” Pioneers of this war are telling lies as much as possible in order to reduce possibilities to know the truth and the lie.”

Pakistani religious figure said,” It is impossible that people who have developed the deepest love for Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) and say prayers towards holy Ka’aba grow the least thought of targeting the holy mosque.”
