Pakistan’s prime minister has dismissed the provincial government of the southwestern Baluchistan province after the recent massacre in the provincial capital, Quetta, in which mostly Shia Muslims were killed.

According to Press TV, Raja Pervaiz Ashraf said in early Monday,” We have decided to impose governor’s rule in Baluchistan for two months, the provincial government will be sacked”.
On January 10, nearly 130 people were killed and many others injured in a wave of deadly attacks targeting both Pakistani security guards and civilians, including Shia Muslims, in the country.
More than 90 of the victims lost their lives in twin bomb attacks that targeted Shia Muslims in a crowded billiard hall in Quetta. The outlawed terrorist group Lashkar-e-Jhangvi claimed responsibility for the billiard hall attack.
The families of the victims in Quetta refused to bury the bodies of the victims. They said they would continue their sit-in protest until the Pakistan Army takes over security in the city.
On Sunday, the prime minister arrived in Quetta to meet the bereaved families of the victims and hold talks with the leaders of the Hazara Shia community.
