374858_Pakistan-GazaThousands of Pakistanis have held a rally in the capital, Islamabad, against Israel’s deadly war on the Gaza Strip, which has left hundreds of Palestinian civilians dead.

Chanting anti-Israeli slogans, the protesters on Sunday expressed their support for the Palestinian people.

The demonstration was organized by Pakistan’s Jammat-e-Islami Party.

“We not only have grievance with Israel and America but we also have grievance with coward Muslim rulers who have kept quiet till this day,” said Siraj Ul-Haq, the chief of Jamat-e-Islami.

The protesters, including members of other parties and some government officials, also called on all Muslims across the world to stand up to Israel.

Thousands of people have staged rallies around the world in condemnation of the Israeli military strikes against Palestinians in the besieged Gaza Strip.

The Israeli war on the Gaza Strip began on July 8. According to Palestinian health officials, the overall Palestinian death toll from the brutal Israeli war on the Gaza Strip has reached nearly 1,940, with most of the fatalities being civilians. Nearly 10,000 others have been also wounded in the attacks.
