Palestinian laid to rest as Israel returns body after 2 months

The family of Majed Mouteir, 26, finally laid him to rest on Friday, after Israeli authorities had been holding his body for nearly two months.

Mouteir was shot and killed last December after he was left bleeding for long hours without being offered first aid in occupied Jerusalem.

His body was returned to his family in Qalandia refugee camp.

The funeral procession set off from the Palestine Medical Center in Ramallah where Mouteir’s body was wrapped in the Palestinian flag.

He was then carried on shoulders towards Qalandia camp where his family and hundreds of locals said their final goodbyes before burying him in the local cemetery.
