Palestinian PM Haniya: Islamic Iran’s Progress Strengthens Position of Resistance in Muslim World

Palestinian Prime Minister Ismail Haniya praised Iran’s astonishing progress in different scientific and industrial fields, and said such advancement promotes and strengthens the position of resistance in the Muslim world.

Haniya called the presence of millions of Iranians in the rallies of 33rd anniversary of Islamic Revolution “glorious”, and said the progress of Iranian nation in different fields strengthens the position of resistance in the Muslim world.

Expounding on the latest developments in Palestine, Haniya stressed that Hamas Movement adheres to the principles and ideals of the resistance and for now, believes that unity among Palestinians is the key to success.

He also appreciated Islamic Republic of Iran for its generous help to Palestine resistance especially during the 22-day war against the satanic Zionist regime.

Iran has taken wide strides in science and technology, particularly in medicinal and aerospace fields, in recent years.

Iran last Friday successfully launched the ‘Navid-e Elm-o Sana’at’ satellite into the orbit.

The satellite, which is completely designed and built by Iranian experts, was blasted into orbit on the occasion of the 10-Day Dawn celebrations, marking the 33rd anniversary of the victory of Iran’s Islamic Revolution in 1979.

The 50-kilogram orbiter lifted off into space with an orbital angle of 55 degrees on the Iranian-made Safir satellite-carrier.

Head of Iran Space Agency (ISA) Hamid Fazeli said the domestically-built Navid satellite will circle the Earth at altitudes between 250 and 370 kilometers.

Navid-e Elm-o Sana’at is a telecom, measurement and scientific satellite whose records could be used in a wide range of fields.

Iran has already sent small animals into space – a rat, turtles and worms – aboard a capsule carried by its Kavoshgar-3 rocket in 2010.

The Islamic republic, which first put a satellite into orbit in 2009, has outlined an ambitious space program and has, thus far, made giant progress in the field despite western sanctions and pressures against its advancement.
