Palestinian Rocket Cuts Power in South of Tel Aviv

Electricity in a region South of Tel Aviv was cut after a rocket fired by the Palestinian Resistance hit the power network, media reports said on Monday.

Channel 7 of Israeli TV reported that a Palestinian rocket hit electricity network in Rohovot region, South of Tel Aviv, and resulted in black out in the region.

The other media reports said that Palestinian resistance forces in Gaza fired 11 rockets at Southern Israel on Monday.

After a quiet night rockets began falling after 7:30 am local time, with 11 aimed at Israel, and Israeli army claimed two of which were intercepted by the Iron Dome anti-missile system.

No-one was injured but one of the rockets landed in the yard of a house in Netivot, a town five kilometers (three miles) Southeast of Gaza City, with medics treating 26 people for shock.

Since the start of the conflict on Saturday evening, Palestinian groups have fired more than 120 projectiles in Southern Israel, which on Sunday injured four people in the Israeli settlement of Sderot.

Palestinians started firing rockets at Israeli targets after the Zionist regime’s army staged several raids on the Gaza Strip in the last few weeks.

The Popular Resistance Committees (PRC) announced late last month that the recent missile attacks on Beer Sheba region in the occupied territories have this message for the Zionist regime that its crimes against the Palestinians will not go unanswered.

“The firing of Grad missiles against Beer Sheba gave this message to the Zionist enemy that the regime cannot specify geographical specifications and limitations for the conflict and the main cities are within the range of (the Palestinian resistance’s missile) response,” PRC Spokesman Abu Mujahid stressed late in October.

He said that the resistance front has not agreed with any ceasefire with the Zionist regime and its combatants are ready to confront any aggression by the regime against the resistant people of the Gaza Strip.
