Palestinian youth killed in zionist israeli raid in West Bank

A Palestinian youth has been killed during an Israeli army raid in the town of Birzeit in the occupied West Bank, a Palestinian security source says.

The incident took place on Thursday after Israeli forces opened fire on the house of Mot’azz Washaha, the unnamed source said.

“After the army left the house and the town, the body of Mot’azz Washaha, 22, was found,” the source added.

The Israeli army has confirmed the killing and described Washaha a terror suspect.

Neighbors said the youth was the member of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine.

Israel has been conducting raids across the West Bank since last night, abducting at least 10 Palestinians there.

According to reports, one of the abductees is only 16 years old.

The raid came hours after Amnesty International condemned Israel’s killings of Palestinian civilians in the West Bank over the past three years.

The human rights group accused Tel Aviv of “war crimes and other serious violations of international law” against Palestinians.

The Israeli military regularly attacks different areas in the West Bank as well as East al-Quds (Jerusalem) to arrest Palestinian activists and civilians mostly without any charges.

The Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) said in January that the Tel Aviv regime has perpetrated over 20,000 cases of violations against Palestinians in 2013.

The organization also said Israeli troops have killed over 55 Palestinians, arrested or detained more than 4,530 others, and erected some 5,200 flying checkpoints throughout the occupied West Bank and East al-Quds.
