Parliamentarian among four shot dead in Karachi

Gunmen on Thursday shot dead at least four people, including a provincial lawmaker of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), in port city of Karachi, media reported.

Manzar Imam, a member of the Sindh Assembly for the MQM, the largest political party in Karachi, was killed along with other men when armed assailants opened fire on his vehicle in Karachi’s Orangi Town area.

Imam was elected from the PS-95 Karachi VII seat, and served as member on the Sindh Assembly’s Standing Committee on Cooperation, Standing Committee on Environment and Alternate Energy and the Standing Committee on Prisons.
