Peace in Syria remains focal issue at APA session: Iranian MP

80948452-5306192Talking to IRNA in Islamabad Ismael Jalili, member of the audit and budgetary committee said that nuclear deal between Iran and the western powers cast a positive impact over the APA session.

He said that delegations of APA member states welcomed Iran’s nuclear deal which is a diplomatic success of the Islamic Republic.

The APA in its declaration said that every country has the right to achieve nuclear capability for peaceful purposes.

“Affirm the inalienable right of every country to acquire, develop and use nuclear energy for peaceful purposes under IAEA safeguards, including access to civil nuclear technology without discrimination,” it said.

Ismael Jalili member of Iranian Parliament from Masjed Soleiman said that about forty countries participated at the APA sixth session.

Member of the APA expressing his views said that APA could play an important role to resolve the problems of western Asian countries.

He said that Iran has always played a vital role for the development and restoration of peace in Asia.

The Iranian lawmaker was of the view that Iranian delegation remained very active throughout the APA session.

Ismael Jalili said active participation of Iran in the APA meeting has shown that the Islamic Republic wants implementation of APA decisions in letter and spirit.

He added that Asian countries for their economic uplift must enhance their cooperation. He said that there must be common view and convergence among the APA members in dealing with the challenges to Asia.

The Iranian parliamentarian said that objective of the APA was to explore the potential of Asia for the benefit of the people of the world’s biggest continent.
