Peace talks results nothing

The Hamas refugees affairs department said peace talks between the Fatah authority and Israel are “a loss for our people and their cause” in addition to being a form of intelligence coordination with the enemy.

“The participants in the negotiations are individuals who oppose national unity and recruited themselves to serve the enemy and their interests,” the department said in a statement released Friday.

The department stressed that the Palestinian people are not obliged to commit to the talks’ outcomes.

“The Palestinian people and ‘the world’s wise people’ realize that Mahmoud Abbas’s decision to go into direct or indirect negotiations with Israel is not based on any legal political framework. Abbas’s term ended a year and a half back when the PLO was no more than a minority organization in the Palestinian street, let alone a worn-out decision-making tool,” the group added.

The PA in Ramallah never received consent by the Legislative Council to paddle against Palestinian national interests.

The department stressed that any conclusions that emerge from the negotiations “are unacceptable and non-binding on any Palestinian. They are illegitimate and anything based on them is illegitimate, and our people will one day overrun them and those who created them.”

The statement pointed out that leaks of information on the tongues of Israeli leaders implicate the Palestinian negotiator’s readiness to “liquidate” the refugees right to return and compensation, and keep Jerusalem Israel’s unified capital. They also implicate security agreements making the PA an Israeli puppet, they continued.

Above all, Israeli leaders have conditioned Abbas and his organization to acknowledge the Jewish identity of Israel enabling them to get rid of the Palestinians inside the occupied territories and oppress them.
