Photo- Iranian Culture Minister: Proper Use of Books Can Make Islamic Awakening More Efficient

“The proper and accurate use of books can make the Islamic Awakening movement more efficient movement in thee region” said Seyyed Mohammad Hosseini, Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance.

On the sidelines of the 25th Tehran International Book Fair, the first International Resistance Book Fair was inaugurated with the slogan of “Islamic Awakening and Anti-Arrogance” by Mr. Hosseini and Brigadier General Naqdi, Basij commander.
“The First International Resistance Book Fair, which is being held in the presence of publishers from Lebanon, Syria and other Arab countries, is a step towards the Islamic Awakening which has been primarily taken by the Islamic Republic.” said Basij Commander, Brigadier General Mohammad Reza Naqdi.

“The fair will help Iranian publishers, who are already active in the field of Islamic Resistance cooperate with foreign publishers. Unfortunately the literature of Islamic Awakening has not been written yet”, Naqdi added.

He also stressed that the International Resistance Book Fair should make brave steps on the way to finding its place in the field of books and the world.
Mohammad Bagher Khoramshad, chairperson of Culture and Islamic Relations Organization, said that a special section has been allocated to Wall-Street and other European Movements in the Islamic Awakening Hall to show the interaction and similarities of both currents.

The 1st edition of the biography of the Leader Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei, entitled “Sharhe Esm” was sold out in the first day. This 766-page book covers from year 1939 to 1978 and has 80 historical photos published for the first time.

Mohamad Reza Zaeri’s new book on Sayyed Hassan Nasrollah, Hizbullah Secretary General, was unveiled by Ra’d publication.

The Dar- al-Manar and Cultural Islamic Al-Maaref Association can be found nearby the Lebanese publisher, in the Arabic books section.

The first hall is dedicated to the 8-year imposed war of Iran-Iraq.

Street theatre with the topic of resistance is another part of the Fair. Different theatre groups play every day. Documentaries are also shown on the board.

This section shows photos of the Islamic Resistance in Lebanon, Palestine and Iraq and cartography of Hizbullah’s different military operations against the Zionist occupiers and also a biography of the martyred commander can be found.

More than 40 panels have been designated for distinguished guests from different countries. On Thursday, the Literature of Resistance in Lebanon was discussed with the Lebanese writers of “Ghalam Rassass” and its Iranian translator. This series of books depicts the July 2006 war by the Zionist Entity against Lebanon. It won the latest “World prize for the book of the year of the Islamic Republic of Iran”.
