Plot to promote Iranophobia fails

A senior Iranian military official says enemy attempts to promote phobia towards Iran has failed thanks to the wisdom of the Leader of the Islamic Ummah and Opressed People.

“During different periods of time, enemies hatched disruptive plots to damage the [Islamic] Revolution but all these plots were foiled due to the wisdom of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution,” said Brig. Gen. Mohammad Pakpour, commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps Ground Forces.

“Originally, enemies tried to downplay the recent maneuver conducted by the corps in the Persian Gulf waters but they finally acknowledged Iran’s military might and tried to carry out their old plot of promoting Iranophobia among the nations of the [Middle East] region,” IRNA quoted Pakpour as saying on Saturday.

“The West fears that Iran will turn into a role model for other countries since Iran’s scientific progress has awakened other countries in the region and this has endangered Western interests,” he added.

“This was why Western states launched the Iranophobia project in the region but this plot failed,” Pakpour said.
