Police Chief Underlines High Security in Iran
Iran’s Police Chief Brigadier General Esmayeel Ahmadi Moqaddam hailed the high level of security in the country, and said each and every part of the country enjoys full security.

“Now, we have no insecure point in the country and we cannot say that security in (the Southeastern) province of Kerman is lower than Sistan and Balouchestan (province) or security in (the Central province of) Isfahan is higher than Tehran’s security,” Ahmadi Moqaddam said in Iran’s Southwestern city of Yasouj.

He added that the country has registered the best security record during the current Iranian year (ends on March 20) despite enemies’ pressure and efforts to spark unrest and chaos in the country.

Ahmadi Moqaddam underlined that according to figures, the rate of major crimes in Iran has witnessed a remarkable decrease this year.

Iran shares open borders on the West with Iraq and Turkey, on the East with Afghanistan and Pakistan, on the South with the Persian Gulf littoral states and the Sea of Oman, on the North with Armenia and Azerbaijan and the Caspian Sea, and on the North East with Turkmenistan.

Iran, located at the crossroad of international drug smuggling from Afghanistan to Europe, has taken new security measures in its bordering provinces after its eastern and western borders came under several attacks by terrorists and drug traffickers in the last few years.

According to the statistical figures released by the UN, Iran ranks first among the world countries in preventing entry of drugs and decreasing demand for narcotics.
