Political piety is achieved by following religious principles

n00124434-bGrand Ayatollah Mohsen Araki, Secretary General of the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought in an interview with Rasa News Agency defined political morality as having piety and said impiety is in fact ignoring the objectives of late Imam Khomeini (RA), Supreme Leader and eventually Prophet Mohammad (PBUH), reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).

When asked for a definition for political morality he quoted the Supreme Leader of Islamic Revolution defining political morality to be synonymous with piety.

He noted that people are expected to do nothing but following Sharia principles and said,” Once the people and the authorities follow Sharia principles then what we define as political morality realizes.”

Top cleric reiterated,” Defacing, stigmatizing, conspiracy and baseless hostilities towards Muslims are Haram (forbidden in Islam) and when we avoid all these then we achieve political morality.”

Secretary General of the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought warned against impiety as the factor that undermines the foundations of the society and noted,” Islamic Revolution of Iran and the blood of our martyrs were aimed at founding a pious regime; therefore, any impiety ,means ignoring the objectives of our martyrs, late Imam Khomeini (RA), the Supreme Leader and in fact Prophet Mohammad (PBUH).”
