Popular march in Gaza in support of right of return

Coordination committee of the Great March of Return on Saturday organized a popular march near the border fence east of Gaza’s Shuja’iyya neighborhood in rejection of the “deal of the century” and in support of the Palestinian refugees’ right of return.

The Hamas leader Mushir al-Masri in a speech stressed the need to break the unjust siege on Gaza and achieve national unity to be able to confront the conspiracies targeting the Palestinian cause, especially the “deal of the century”.

Al-Masri said that the Palestinian people reject all attempts aimed at liquidating the central Palestinian issues, particularly Jerusalem and the Palestinian refugees issues, noting that the Great March of Return sends an important message that the Palestinians will never forget their right of return.

The leader of the Palestinian Popular Struggle Front Abdulaziz Qdeih affirmed that the US, “Israel’s partner”, plans through the “deal of the century” to drop the Palestinian refugees’ right of return.

Qdeih called for an emergency Arab summit to protect the rights of the Palestinian people and pressure the US to backtrack on its project in the region.

For his part, the Palestinian official Mohammed Baraka said that the Palestinian cause has been going through a very dangerous stage especially following the US president Donald Trump’s recognition of Jerusalem as Israel’s capital.

Baraka asked the Palestinian factions to put an end to the internal division and abide by the national constants.
