Prime Minister, Dr. Wael al-Halqi, stressed that Syria continues the comprehensive development process despite the challenges thanks to the will of its people and their determination to rebuild their country and go ahead for wider prospects.

Inaugurating and laying the cornerstone for a number of services and development projects in Damascus, al-Halqi said that the government is working hard to provide the best services to citizens.

He added that the government will continue carrying out vital projects despite the sabotage acts committed by the armed terrorist groups to destroy the country’s capabilities and infrastructure, particularly power plants, oil and gas pipelines and water plants.

The Prime Minister stressed that Syria will come out victorious and stronger from the crisis thanks to the steadfastness of the Syrian people and their rallying around their army.

He added that the sacrifices of the Armed Forces will help restore security and stability to the homeland and eliminate the armed terrorist groups which implement foreign agendas with the aim of fragmenting the Syrian society and deviating Syria from its principled stances.

The Premier inaugurated Kafr Soseh Services Complex with an estimated cost of SYP 165 million and inspected the work mechanism and services to be provided to the citizens in the complex.

The complex consists of several floors and includes the directorates of properties, services departments, Kafr Soseh services department and the one-window service.

Premier al-Halqi also laid the cornerstone for the construction of an alternative residential units project in Bab Sharki area. The project will consist of four residential units with 320 apartments.

The Premier, accompanied with Deputy Prime Minister for Services Affairs, Minister of Local Administration Omar Ghalawanji and Governor of Damascus, Bishr al-Sabban, inspected work at the project of residences for those who were notified of demolition.

The project is a residential 12-story apartment complex and each story includes ten apartments, in addition to shops, with an estimated cost of SYP 380 million.

Al-Halqi said that these development projects came within the framework of the government’s efforts to provide citizens with best services, including the housing sector, through setting up future plans and programs to carry out the largest number of residential units. He indicated that the number of apartments in these housing projects reached 1500.
